The Great Ghost Photo Caper Lives On!
Several months ago, a friend and I “scammed” Coast to Coast AM by wowing the webmasters with a ghost photo we spent about 30 seconds making in Photoshop.
I received a small burst of email about the picture (plus a lifetime’s worth of spam…why the hell did I use my real email?), then it died down pretty quick. Early last month I received one last email from a skeptical Coast to Coast listener, to which I elected NOT to respond:
was this edited? why would a pic be taken of the top of your head?
Finally, just a week or so ago, this brief email correspondence took place:

I had no idea what this person was talking about, or even what “Ghoststudy” was. Today, I decided to Google my own email address to see where it could have been picked up. The only two hits were Coast to Coast AM’s site, and this page. Apparently somebody was so impressed with my photo they submitted it to another ghost picture site.
The staff has this to say about my not-so-supernatural photo:
The eyes and nose seem to be well formed. There is even detail and correct shadowing to the nose. It has us considering this being more than a simple lighting effect. Nice capture!
I can’t IMAGINE what people would think if we had actually spent time on this hoax.
