Maybe I’m a little slow on this, but I learned a cool little trick to download back episodes of This American Life straight from their site. This is helpful if you, for whatever reason, don’t want to just grab them all from a Torrent.

Typically you can only download the newest episode and you have to get back episodes through iTunes for a dollar a piece. Or, somebody more clever than I figured out, you can go directly into their archives through a non-public directory here:

http://audio.thisamericanlife.org/jomamashouse/ismymamashouse/XXX.mp3

Just replace XXX with the number of the show you want to download. Note that single and double-digit episode numbers do not have leading zeroes, so the file is just “15.mp3,” for example.
