I haven’t shot anything new for a while — though I hope to change that soon — but I was in the photo mood tonight, so I decided to go back through some old photos and see if there was anything I could re-envision with some different post processing. I came across my Obama photos from last year and realized “Oh, yeah. I have pictures of the president.” Weird, right? Well, he wasn’t president at the time, but that’s what makes these photos kinda unique in my collection.

I was never really pleased with the shots, so I tried some pretty aggressive cropping in a couple here to try and create something semi-photojournalistic, though photojournalism isn’t really my style. They’re not amazing photos to begin with, but I was working with the lens that came with my camera (kinda sucks) and everybody in my immediate vicinity was a minimum of 7’3″. I think these worked out better than my original take on this batch, though, and I kinda made a couple of them work, considering.
