Again, I didn't do a whole hell of a lot of anything today, so I didn't get out to shoot. My brand new stepdad gave me a sack of old filters when I went to visit them over Christmas, and I decided to mess around with one for my shot today. This is a closeup filter, which I'd never heard of before (most of the filters in the bag are color filters, which are useless on digital). It creates a kinda cool effect (almost tilt-shift-like focus and a very narrow depth of field, even at smaller apertures; f/5.6 here), and when in doubt, I shoot my record player.
Yes, I'm aware I need to clean my stylus. We got a new receiver and didn't realize until we went to hook it up that it doesn't have a phono preamp! So we can't listen to records until we buy a preamp, thus dust is a problem. Shinfo.
